Twitter Traffic Can Grow Your Business
A few months ago I had no idea what Twitter even was, but everyone was talking about it so I decided to sign up. I had one measly friend, my awesome college roommate, for perhaps the first month. I just didn’t get the point of tweeting. I thought… shouldn’t I just pick up the phone and call my friend and talk to her! Oh, but I was sooo misinformed!!
Then I read some article telling me that once you start following hundreds and hundreds of “Twits”, (that has it’s own humor doesn’t it?) from people with lots of followers I would get followed back so I signed up for a free automated following service TweetLater and pretty soon I had a few hundred followers.
And Then…
The Twitter Traffic Machine came across my desk and to be quite honest I thought that Bill Crosby guy probably didn’t have a clue what he was talking about! But I started to see it gain popularity and one of my Lifepath Unlimited business partners bought it and recommended it so I decided to give it a try. So here’s a screen shot of my twitter followers when I started on June 23, 2009.

And here’s NOW…just 3 WEEKS later on July 16, 2009.

As you can see I was clearly wrong about Bill Crosby and his Twitter Traffic Machine. His system explains how to grow a twitter account rapidly with total automation via 5 videos. It was super easy to follow and only took about 1 hour set it all up.
So, now how can Twitter help grow your business??
Twitter is a mini-blogging service, which allows people to connect to each other through small messages of less than 140 words. Like any other social networking site, its basic purpose is to keep people connected. Since people can also use twitter from their phones, it has witnessed a phenomenal growth. People are now finding ways growing their business through it, because of its increased popularity.
The entire concept of Twitter, works on building a network of followers. You have to build your niche market by tweeting about a specific subject of your interest. Those who find your posts interesting may add you to the ‘follow’ list. This ensures that as soon as you ‘tweet’, your followers will see your posts. Your followers can also subscribe to your RSS feeds to update themselves about your actions.
Once you have a good number of followers, you can easily use your followers for advertising your business. As soon as you tweet, your followers see it and many of them may click on what you have posted. You can also try direct marketing, to make some money. Since these followers are interested in your postings, they may also be interested in the links that you post. But you have to be very careful with marketing. If people feel that you are not adding any value and are using twitter as an advertising and money making tool, then they will un-follow you and it may impact your potential business.
As in the case of web sites, the success of twitting finally depends upon how much traffic you can generate. The more followers you have, the more is the likelihood of them clicking on the links that you provide. This in turn, increases the chances of successful leads to you and thereby more earnings for you.
